LI SHOWS EARLY FORM

Na Li secured a second round place with a straight sets win over P Kania of Poland and showed why she is expected to do well at this tournament as she won in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 and she showed her class here.

 

BIG GUN DEFEATED

An early shock in the women's tennis happened yesterday when Cibulkova seeded 10 was beaten in straight sets and quite comfortably by  A Wozinak 6-2, 6-1 and showed that she was in third gear.

 

VICTORIA SHOWS HER FORM

Victoria Azerinka beat Lucic Baroni in straight sets and looked like she would be ready to go very far in the competition as she won in straight sets as she had the first set she cruised as she won 6-3 but the second was a lot closer as she won 7-5.

 

VENUS SHOWS EXPERIENCE

Venus Williams showed her experience and class as she won a second round match in 3 sets defeating Toro Flur after winning the first 6-4 Venus lost the second 6-4 in the third Venus took control of the match winning the third by 6 games to 2 and you would think that she could learn from her pervious experiences.

MURRAY SHOWS HOME FORM

Andy Murray secured a straight sets win over 6-1 6-4 7-5 and Andy Murray looked like pure class in this first round tie. He never looked out of control of this tie and at this stage he does look to have the form to have a good run.

NOVAC SHOWS WHY HE IS BEST

 



Novac Djockovic showed his class also in a straight sets win over A Gulbev as he won by 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 and showed the type of class that he had in this first round match.

DIMITROV SHOWS EARLY ROUND FORM
 



Dimitrov showed his class but it took a bit of time and class for him to win this match as he managed to beat Harison but the first set was very close during the set but in the tie break it was very close also. In the second an third set Dimitrov had complete control.

FIRST BIG SHOCK 

Tomas Berdich was the first big player to go out of Wimbledon as he lost to Hanescu in 4 sets but this is the very early start and these will be the few matches I will look at today.

RAFA SHOWS FRENCH CLASS

In the final of the French open we got the chance to see why Rafael Nadal was able to show his class with a 65 and 1 record in the French open which in my opinion makes him a French open legend as he beat Novac Djocovic on sunday. The first set belonged to the serb as he began to show why he was one of the best in the world winning by 6 games to 3 but Rafa began to show his class ensuring that he would still have this record as he won the second 7-5 and looked like this game could go either way but it went to the Spaniard as he won the third 6-2 and fourth 6-4.

EXPERIENCE BECOMES IMPORTANT IN FINAL

In the women final Maria Sharapova showed her class and why she had been in the finals of many tournaments as she defeated Simona Halep in three sets and it was mainly due to the fact that she had been in finals before. In the first set Sharapova showed her class in winning 6-4 but she did loose the tie break 7-6 in the second but showed her experience to win the third by 6 games to 4. To the most point she deserves this title
