MENS
MURRAY SHOWS HE STILL HAS CLASS

Even though the score red 2-2 Tsonga gained his first point on the Andy Murray serve in the third game but that was a comfortable game also for Murray. Murray seems to be going for higher shots that ask is there something going on with his shoulder. At 6-5 every game was going to serve and at 15-0 to Tsonga it looked like that was the way it was going to be then Murray showed his class getting to 15-40. He lost the next point but by pulling Tsonga on to the right far side he was able to hit the ball to the left and win the set. Jo Wilfred Tsonga broke in the third which was a surprise as Murray looked good. Murray then held his throw which kept him in the set.  Murray broke back in the 8th game to make it even again. Murray then took the second set by winning the 12th game against serve. Tsonga broke early in the third set to give himself some form of control of the third. Andy Murray saved 2 double break point to win the third game and keep this set alive.   The next game was a horrible one for Tsonga as Murray broke to love to make it 2-2. The tenth match it did not seem like Tsonga was really there and it looked like Murray had control of the game at least in Tsongas head as it did look like “his goose was cooked” as Murray boke to 15.The next round is important to see where Murray really is at.
DJOCKOVIC IS STILL BEST

Murray reward for winning his last 16 match is a quarter final against Novac Djockovic after he won in straight sets against Kohlscreiber. On his side of the draw you also have Sam Wawrinka who beat Robredo in 4 sets. Nishkori is also a quarter finalists after beating Ranoc the higher seed in 5 sets.

SERENA PROVES AGE IS JUST A NUMBER

Serena Williams’s v Kanepi Serena broke in the 8th game of the set as she has not lost a point on first serve until the 9th game. Kanepi showed us what she can do with an amazing shot across court and hits a near perfect shot to the baseline. It is all for nothing as Serena wins the set 6-3.  Williams broke early in the fourth set to lead by 4 games to 2. Williams then got the 6th game to make almost certain of her spot in the next round. Serena did seem to suffer from getting over the line disease as Kanepi managed to pull a game back with Serena only getting 1 point. In the next game however Serena seemed to be back to herself as she won against the throw to win the game 6-3. She does look very good for the quarter final.

LOWER SEEDED PLAYER  WILL REACH SEMIS

Penetta from Italy won in straight sets against Delaqua from Argentena. Victoria Azerenca showed that she is still one of the best after beating unseeded Kunic in 3 sets but is this as far as she can go Makarova from Russia beat Eugene Bouchard in straight sets but both sets were close and it could have went either way. The highest seeded yesterday to reach the quarter finals except for Serena Williams was  Penetta from Italy who was seeded 11 so there will be a bit of a surprise package in the semis.
