Serena broke in the first game of the match. Williams broke again to lead the first set by 5 games to 2 Sharapova seemed to be a bit surprised how strong Williams was as she seemed to have a bit of a cold. Sharapova got a break back with Williams double faulting. Williams went on to win the set 6-3 and looked quite strong.

At the start of the 10^th game you could be not that sure who would win as it was 5 games to 5. Maria had break point chances but Williams had championship point at 5-4. Sharapova held her nerve and won the game and the set went to a tie break. Serena won 7-5 but at 6-5 it looked like she had a strange look.

If there was something wrong with Williams then Sharapova should have given her more of a match

WHAT HAPPENED TO MURRAY?

Djokovic broke in the sixth game of the first set but Murray broke straight back in the 9^th. Each player had a break each and you could not be certain who would win it as this was a strange set of tennis. The game went to a tie break and Murray took an early mini break. Djokovic broke straight back and won the tie break 7-5 after Murray lost a point he needed the video for.

Murray then broke in his first available chance ibn the second to show that he was not down. Djokovic then broke straight back on a |Murray double fault. Djokovic broke in the fofth but Murray broke straight back in the 8^th with a quality point. The game was going one way and another Djokovic then hit one of the best ever services. The second set went to a tie break Murray broke early in the tie break and then too control in the 7^th point to win the tie break.

Murray broke in the first game of the third set. Djokiovic broke straight back Murray then was shown to be playing some good tennis and lost the break and at this stage it began to look like he was beaten already. Djokovic began to take control of the match Djokovic went on and won the 8^th game and murray lost on a double fault 5-3. Djokovic held his serve and won 6-3. Murray seemed to be in more and more problems.

In the fourth Djokovic broke in the second and 4^th game of the match Djokovic broke again and won 6-0.

Djokovic had won 12 out of 13 games and won his 5 Austrilian open a record.
