MENS QUARTERS

NOVAC DJOCKOVIC FROM SERBIA  BEAT RAFA NADAL FROM SPAIN  7-5, 6-3, 6-1

Novac Djocovic did the impossible in tennis yesterday. Beat Rafa Nadal in straight sets on clay and as well he did it in straight sets except for parts of the first set it seemed like he never lost control, . It looked like the great one was not there at all in this match and that Novac had got complete control. Now Novac has just become the hot favourite for this title in my opinion. A result like this must be very worrying for Rafa as it seems like he can be beat on clay.

ANDY MURRAY FROM GREAT BRITAIN  BEAT DAVID FERRER FROM SPAIN  7-6, 6-2, 5-7 6-1

Andy Murry looked very good in the first 2 sets and this began to look a little bit too easy for him as you would think that David Feerrer would have won 1 of the first 2 sets as he is a clay master. The third set was close but Murray lost it and in the fourth he looked like there was no one that could beat him. Murray does have a much harder job now in the semi-finals.  

WOMEN'S SINGLES

SERENA WILLIAMS FROM THE USA BEAT STEFANA ERRANI FROM ITALY 6-1, 6-3

Serena showed why she is the best in the world with an easy quarter final win. In   set it seemed like she was not tested at all but in the second Errani showed that she had fight but Serena showed that she only needed one break to win the match. Serena looks very good at this point and looks that she will be very hard to beat.

T BASINSZKY FROM SWITZERLAND BEAT A VAN UYTVANCK FROM BELGIUM 6-4, 7-5  

This was a very close match that both women could win and it seemed to depend on the break in the first set that gave Basinszky was able to win the match. This was a very big win for her as she is a low seed and will have to come out fighting to beat Williams.

SEMI FINAL DRAW AND PREDICTIONS

MENS

Andy Murray V Novac Djockovic

I feel that with Andy Murrays good form he has got a chance but that is all it is as Novac Djockovic will be high on confidence after beating Rafa Nadal and I think that Djockovic will win in 4 sets.

Joe Wilfried Tsongav Stan Wavwenka

I am not too sure how this will go as I think that Wavwenkamight fall under the pressure of the crowd if Tsonga gets a set lead. I feel that He will be stronger and win this in 4 sets as Tsonga is not strong enough to win this match.

WOMENS

Serena Williams’s v Basinszky

I think that Serena has got the experience to win this semi-final in 2 sets as Basinszky has never been in this situation before. I know that the womens draw is one of shocks but it would be a big one if Serena lost.

Ivanovic v Safarova

I have got a want here for Safarova to win but I do see this match as every close one with neither player having any real sense of control I think that this will go to 3 sets but I feel that Ivanovic will have enough to win this match.
