Serena Williams from the USA beat Lucie
Safarova 6-3, 6-7, 6-2
Serena Williams showed why she is
one of the greatest tennis players of all time winning the French open in 3
sets. She only needed one break in the first set to win it and in the second lost
a difficult second set but what makes her a great champion was the fact not
just that she broke in the third but she broke twice.
MENS FINAL
Stan Wavwenka from Switzerland brat Novac Djockovic from
Serbia 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-4
Wawrinka, 30, brought an end to Djokovic's 28-match winning
streak as he claimed his second Grand Slam title.
Djockovic won the first set with a break. You thought at
this stage that he would take control of the match. It was Wavwenka who took
control with the second and third. It wasn’t until the end of the fourth set
that I thought that Wavwenka could win it.
As unlucky as he was with the weather to have to play the
semi final. I am not sure he will get another chance like this on clay as I
think that Rafa Nadal will come back to his awesome best.
