2-6-15 FRENCH OPEN TENNIS

FRENCH OPEN TENNIS

MENS TENNIS

Novac Djocovic from Serbia beat Richard Gasguet from France 6-1, 6-2, 6-3
Novac looks to be in cruise control. He will definitely have a test of his metal in the next round. He does look to be doing very well and at this stage looks like he can beat anyone

Roger Federrer from Switzerland beat Gail Monfils from France 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1
Federer showed why the term the old master still exists as he found it quite easy to beat Richard Gasguet.

Rafa Nadal from Spain beat Jack Sock from the USA 6-3, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2
I am not sure whether a match like this like this is good for him or bad for him as he does not seem to have the form behind him and will find it difficult as the tournament goes on.

Andy Murray from Great Britain beat Jeremy Chardy from France 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2
Andy Murray is improving round on round and looks to be doing very well at the later stages

David Ferrer from Spain beat Marion Cilic of Crotia 6-2, 6-2, 6-4
David Ferrer is proving one to watch out for in this tournament this year.

QUARTER FINAL DRAW AND PREDICTIONS

Djocovic V Nadal

This is the match of the round and could be the match of the tournament. Form says Djocovic but Clay Says Nadal. I feel Nadal but it will take all 5 sets because he is brilliant on clay but I would not be surprised if the winner of this wins the tournament.

Murray V Ferrer
Ifeel that Murray will win this in 4 as I think that he is much the stronger oponant but if Ferrer takes the first set I think that his clay advantage will be a big one.

Nishikori v Tsonga
I feel that this match might depend more on the croud that turns up and who they back as a hostile Japanese crowd at home could make things harder for Tsonga. I think Nishikori is the better player and will get the job done.

Wawrinka v Federer
An all Swiss battle that I feel will be a 5 setter and will depend on Wavwenka rather than Federrer. If Wavwenka is hot I think he will win. I think that he can run down federer to win this match.

WOMEN'S TENNIS

Serena Williams beat Slone Stephens both ladies are from the USA 1-6, 7-5, 6-3
Serena is seeming like the only master to be doing well today in the ladies draw.

Lucie Safarova from the Czech Republic beat Maria Sharapova from Russia 7-6, 6-4
Is Saparova a name to watch out for in the future I think that she is and I feel that she could reach the final and beat anyone.

T Basninszky from the Czech Republic beat Petra Kitova from Switzerland 6-2, 6-0
I have not heard too much about her so I find it difficult to form an opinion. But I do think that as the rounds go deeper this might get a lot more difficult.

G Muguruza Blanco from Spain beat F Pennetta from Italy  6-3, 6-4
It is very hard to form any sort of opinion on a name you do not hear that much.

Sara Errani from Italy beat J Goerges from Germany 6-2, 6-A Mitu 2
Sara Erani has become one of the favourites for this competition now and we will see how she can handle the pressure.

Van Uytvanck from Belgium beat A Mitu from Romania 6-1, 6-3
I think that having nations not associated with tennis is a good thing but you do think this might be as far as she can go.

QUARTER FINAL DRAW AND PREDICTIONS

S Williams v Errani
I feel here that Serena is much the better player and should win this in 3 sets but it will be a enough final set

Ivanovic V Svitolina
I Would think that this would go to Ivanovic quite comfortably as I think that she is the stronger player.

Muguruza Blanco V Safarova
I think that this might be Safarovas time to shine and believe that she has got the potential to win this competition but you cannot be sure in the women’s draw as there as there have been a few shocks.

Bacsinszky V Van Uytvanck
This almost defines the US Open this year as you have 2 unknown players in a quarter final and one will reach a semi-final.
